I purchased this lock for my mother who lives in a senior citizen apartment complex in an urban area. Needless to say that she needed this type of lock to ensure her personal safety against break-ins. She was very appreciative of my generous gift, seeing as how the lock was costly, but I say that safety can not be measured.
