The lock has a rich, solid look and feel. It works just as I had hoped it would, simple and never misses. The installation instructions were difficult to understand and far more complicated than they needed to be. I work in the property management business and have installed dozens of key pad locks with very few problems. I installed the lock on a Friday late afternoon and it didn't work but simply made a clicking noise. I called customer service for help AFTER reading ALL the material on the website AND viewing ALL the info on the CD that came with the lock. None of the information addressed the problem I was having causing the lock to NOT work. I had to wait until Monday to finally reach a customer service rep. and almost missed reaching them due to the short hours customer service reps are available. This was my first BIG complaint. Then I found out (even though the lock was sent with batteries shrink wrapped and new) that the issue was caused by cheap batteries that were sent that were no good. What a disappointment that a lock as CLASSY and expensive as this one is, would be sent with new looking but cheap non-brand name batteries that were no good causing me to uninstall & re-install the lock 3 times while trying to trouble shoot the problem that wasn't addressed in any of the online or CD material that was sent. The simple act of purchasing my own batteries solved the problem and the lock has worked like a charm ever since. That's my second and only 2 complaints. I have 3 people's fingerprints programmed into the lock and the simplicity and ease of use is exactly as I had hoped. We don't need to carry keys or remember codes.
