The F2 is the latest innovation from RCI and solves one of the biggest challenges in selecting an electric strike for a mortise lock. This is because of the location of the latch mechanism on the wide variety of these lock types. In this new F2 electric strike, RCI creates a patent pending "saw-tooth adjustment locator" for determining the precise position for the lock. You no longer need to determine what mortise lock is being used, or buy multiple face plates to complete the job. The adjustment locator allows you to slide the deadbolt keeper and deadbolt ramp vertically so you can line up with the latch. The "Sliding Shim" design reduces your overall installation time, and project costs. The F2 even accomodates a 1" deadbolt for night-latch function. Put all of these leading design elements together with the strength (1500 lbs holding force), endurance (1.5 million cycles), and convenience (everything you need is in the box), and what you get is the new standard by which all other electric door strikes will be gauged.
