The installation and programming of the AP501’s was simple. It was the only deadbolt that we could find with an automatic throw which was very important for our handicap client. Purchased two AP501 locks. The first lock was installed in an old (in place for more than 55 years) entry door, the lock installed and works flawlessly. The second lock was installed on a prehung Pela entry door. The autolock feature doesn't work apparrently because the gap between the frame and door is too great. Overall these are the best keyless locks on the market! Robert from Maryland
Piece of junk. It locks the door alright. The Auto Lock won’t work anymore. The alarm doesn’t work anymore. The alarm went off constantly and then finally broke. So I have to lock and unlock manually, no alarm . . . spent a lot of money on this thing and it is NOT what I paid all that money for. Could have gotten something much cheaper that did not have the bells and whistles . . .since your bells and whistles don’t work anymore. . . and I still paid for them. Disappointed.
