I bought two different styles of keyless locks for two different doors. The Schlage was more challenging to install then the other and way more confusing to set into the right position to unlock from the outside. There appears to be two or 3 possible positions for the inside lever and it has to be "just right" otherwise you are locked outside, which has happened for my family. I actual hide a spare key outside so the door is useful. I really wanted to return it as I invested $156+ into my project, but it was so much work getting it installed that I didn't bother undoing the work. I would not buy this style again. Sorry for all the negatives, but I am doing major overhaul to a 98 year old house and don't have time or patience for products that don't work the first time. The Kwikset lock is flawless.
