Very poor design (I am a design engineer). The outside part of the product is not bad and has some really good features/ideas. However, the inside part of the product is poorly designed and looks horrible. I doubt that I will use this product on the sliding glass door in my family room. The moving latch is unacceptable and ugly. I can appreciate that the design is intended for right and left door latching but to have the ugly latch portion sticking out when the door is unlocked stinks. The whole latch mechanism should be inside to the door and jam, not sticking out like a sore thumb.  David, Whitefish Bay, WI
