Detex A common challenge faced by anyone in the restaurant or retail business is ensuring safety of employees in the event of an emergency, while simultaneously managing security at the building's exit doors. Unless you can station a cop at your secondary fire exits, you'll want to use the Detex ECL-600 alarmed and fire-rated exit control lock. With a 100dB alarm, any time there's an unauthorized exit, you and everyone in vicinity will know it. Whether it's an intoxicated customer at your lounge, or someone trying to lift a vacuum out the back door, the Detex ECL-600 won't stop sounding the alarm until you're ready to turn it off. Sure, it may just be an unintentional exit, in that case no big deal, you can quickly insert your key and stop the alarm. But if it's a crime, the ECL-600 will give you the notification you need to pursue the thief and call the police. Detex ECL-600 fire rated and code compliant paddle panic exit devices make managers, owners, the public, and employees feel safer. Should a fire ever break out and a primary exit is blocked, employees can simply push the paddle on the Detex ECL-600 to get out. With as reassuring as it is having such a rugged and dependable exit control lock on these doors, it's even more noteworthy to mention the ability of this device to re-latch. This ensures these doors won't be left unlocked at any time, even when there's an inadvertent exit.

Customer Questions & Answers

This model does include the deadbolt along with the latch itself and includes all components needed for mounting to wood or metal doors. This can be reversed for either side of the door and does not need to be ordered specifically for a left or right-handed application.

  2. A

This is an exit only device with no hardware for the exterior side of the door as this is typically used on doors that are not accessible from the outside.

There is no unit for the exterior side of the door. This is meant for exit-only doors that are not accessible from the outside.
