No more wasting time on costly lockouts and lost keys. The versatile KIC5510 from KeyinCode offers multiple keyless lock access methods without having to fumble around with traditional keys. Users can access the lock through keypad code entry, a tap of their smart card, or their smartphone. Managing multiple locks has never been easier thanks to the free K3 Connect app, which allows admins to create and share user access rights as well as customize lock functions right from their compatible Bluetooth smartphone.
Schedule specific time periods for code-free access allowing guests to open the door without having to use any credentials, perfect for open business and delivery hours. Start the business day off right with the First Man In function, which keeps the door locked during a scheduled passage period until the first valid credential is used to open the lock, then remains open for the rest of that period. This ensures your building or room is only open when a registered user is there to open the doors. Audit trails can also be viewed from the smartphone to see who is accessing the lock and when. Whether it’s an emergency situation or the occupant just needs some privacy, lockdown can be engaged to prevent user access so only an admin can open the lock. For sensitive or higher security applications, the KIC5510 is also equipped with dual-credential verification which requires at least two valid users to open the lock.

These locks are compatible with KIC Mifare cards and do not require additional hardware to use them. The cards can be enrolled using KeyinCloud K3 software. While the KIC Mifare cards are not listed on our website, feel free to reach out to our sales team at 937-247-9327 and they will be able to get some ordered for you.

When used as a stand-alone lock, you will simply need to re-enter the passage code to secure the door. If the lock is being used with the KeyInCloud software, you will have the ability to lock the door through the cloud site.
- Q What is the battery life for this device? answer nowAsked by Enrique Garmendia on July 8, 2022 12:04 PMA
This model has an average battery life of 80,000 openings. This will typically last ~2 years with normal usage. For high-traffic environments, we would recommend exchanging the batteries once a year.
- Q How long is the history kept? Can the history be downloaded? We need to keep a log for compliance... answer nowAsked by Armando on June 6, 2022 4:55 PMA
The locks can hold up to 2,000 of the most recent events and operate on FIFO. When the 2000 event cap is reached, the oldest event is removed and the newest event will be added.
- Q Does the Bluetooth version require any additional hardware such as a controller? answer nowAsked by Dan on May 17, 2022 6:28 PMA Can you do bulk user imports or do you have to program each user manually? Also, if you have multiple locks, can you make changes in the app that affect all the locks (or at least specified ones)?A
The BLE version of the KIC5510 does not require any additional hardware to program the lock from your smartphone.
AIf you are programming each lock via BLE with the K3 application, you will have to make changes to each lock individually. When using the KeyInCloud software, you can update multiple locks at once. The software will also give you the ability to bulk import user information.
- Q Is this lock good for vacation rental houses? Are you able to set codes for guests without a paid... answer nowAsked by Lynne on May 12, 2022 8:19 AMA
If you wish to set personalized codes on the lock remotely, this will require a paid subscription. Otherwise, you will need to be within BLE range of the lock for programming. However, you are able to set "Netcodes" remotely without the subscription service. This will generate a random pin code based on the dates set that will work on the lock during these times without needing to visit the door.
- Q Can this lock be programmed to open at a certain time every day by itself? answer nowAsked by Elmer on April 1, 2022 4:11 PMA
This model can be set to automatically unlock the door at specified times when used with the KeyInCloud software.
- Q Does this connect to wifi? Can it send alerts to a phone when people enter? answer nowAsked by Matthew Klimmer on January 6, 2022 6:58 PMA
This model is Bluetooth connectivity. For Wi-Fi connectivity and the ability for live alerts, please see the KIC5510-W!
- Q Is the handle direction changeable? The picture only shows handle on right side. answer nowAsked by Zahid Iqbal on October 3, 2021 1:09 AMA
The handles are field reversible and can be installed pointed to the left or the right side.
- Q Is this lockset compatible with a panic bar? answer nowAsked by Chris Lawson on June 29, 2021 1:24 PMA

This electronic door knob is far better than I anticipated. My only issue is that if I had to do it again, I would get the WiFi model instead of Bluetooth. But ultimately, it works flawlessly.

We have two of these locks installed at a community pool house. With Bluetooth and the gateway it was very easy to setup the locks with unique codes for 73 homeowners plus others requiring access. The gateway makes administration very convenient from anywhere. These locks coupled with our security cameras allows us to easily monitor what happens at our community pool 24X7! Additionally the locks are very well made and were easy to install.

The lock looks & operates nicely, just don’t plan to use the app to program it if you use an android phone. If you want to manually set it up using the keypad, that’ll work OK but you can’t set standard unlock times or anything without using the app.

This lock is exactly what we needed for our 24/7 tanning salon! Working great! However, you do need to get the Wifi Gateway in order to make it super user friendly.

The lock is great. Didn’t really come with great instructions and I do wish the WiFi range on the app was just a bit longer. Because you can almost just walk to the lock and let people in with the range being so short. If they changed those two things I would have given it all 5 stars.

Works as advertised. Love not having a lock box attached to the door and one of employees taking the key home thus having a manger to go in and open the door the next morning.
