Customer Questions & Answers

  1. Q How long do the batteries usually last? answer now
Asked by Henry Groenenberg on August 29, 2021 6:17 PM
    Answered by the admin

The average battery life of this model is ~6 months.

  2. Answered by the admin

For this model, all programming is done through the Kwikset App. This will require an active Wi-Fi connection for the initial programming. Once the programming is complete, the lock can be disconnected from Wi-Fi and it will retain the codes that have been set.

  3. Q Does the keypad light up? answer now
Asked by Jimmy Lopez on May 17, 2021 11:35 PM
    Answered by the admin

Yes, the keypad will illuminate when the top lock button is pressed.

  4. Answered by the admin

Yes, through the Kwikset app you do have the ability to set codes to allow and deny access at set days and times.

  5. Answered by the admin

Kwikset currently has manufacturing facilities in Denison, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; Mexicali, Mexico; and a facility in China.

The lock can be used without connecting to Wi-Fi but you will need to connect to the lock through the Kwikset app to program codes into the lock.

  6. Answered by the admin

There is no monthly subscription to use the Kwikset Halo application.

  7. Answered by the admin

This model connects directly to your Wi-Fi network and does not require an existing security system for remote connectivity.

  8. Q Can this be used outdoors on a gate? answer now
Asked by Justin on January 2, 2021 12:22 AM
