Customer Questions & Answers
- Q Does the key pad light up at night when the keypad is touched? answer nowAsked by August 29, 2019 1:51 AMonAnswered by the admin
This is a purely mechanical lock and has no electronics to illuminate the keypad during the night hours.
- Answered by the admin
Yes, each side has their own combination that can be set.
- Q Is this an automatic locking gate or do you have to lock it manually? answer nowAsked by February 7, 2019 3:41 AMonA
It is a deadbolt so you will need to throw the deadbolt anytime you close the gate. If you would like something that locks behind you, you will need to go with a latching lock such as the 3230.
- Q Can you use a code where a single digit is duplicated such as 7711 ??? What length can you set fo... answer nowAsked by February 2, 2019 11:34 PMonA
No, these cannot use double digits and you can use any length from 3-6 digits.
- Q What gate/lock box would I use with this. Installing in a metal framed gate that is 1 1/2 or 2" t... answer nowAsked by April 6, 2018 2:26 PMonA The gatebox that you would be looking for is the GB 2500. Please see the link below. https://www.gokeyless.com/product/kbxdig23-gate-box/
- Q I will be installing this lock on a chain link gate. Does it come with a lock box? answer nowAsked by November 29, 2017 8:00 AMonA No, the gate box is not included. If you are looking to install this on a chain link gate we would recommend the Lockey 2900 series lock and the corresponding gate box to go with it. Below we have attached the links. These two items meet the standards required for a chain link installation, as opposed to the 3210 which would need custom configuration. https://www.gokeyless.com/product/lockey-gb2900-chainlink-gate-box/ https://www.gokeyless.com/product/lockey-2900-keyless-throwbolt-lock/
- Q How does one change the handing on this lock? My gate is left-handed and in the picture, the lock... answer nowAsked by February 9, 2017 10:11 AMonA
This lock's handing is reversible. All you'll need to do is change the slot the 1/4" tall pin goes into on the interior escutcheon and it will work for your gate.
- Q Can you input multiple codes; one for family; one for pool maintenance; one for babysitter? What ... answer nowAsked by January 20, 2017 7:32 AMonA
Since this is a fully mechanical lock, no batteries, no electronic parts, it supports one code that would need to be shared. If you need to provide a temporary code for maintenance we suggest changing the code immediately after they leave. The lock operates on a pin and tumbler system so it will not fail, and the manufacturer is confident it will not fail, which is why no key override.
- Q Is there a "lock-out" feature so that if somebody tries to guess the code more than "x" # of time... answer nowAsked by November 22, 2016 9:01 PMonA
Since this is a mechanical lock and only accepts a single code at a time it does not have the internal computer to know if someone enters the wrong code multiple times. It does however due to the mechanics keep the door locked until the wrong codes are cleared and the right code is entered.

I had a lock smith install it for me on my cedar fence gate. I really love it. So easy to use and maintain. Having keypads on both sides is a great UX, and the ease of just turning the knob to re-lock without needing to type in a code to lock it is really simple. Provo designers and engineers!

This is not a perfect system, but it solved the one need I had which is open iron work on my gates, we have two of them. It was east for people to reach through the gate to get to the handset with my old setup and open the gates.
This is a mechanical system, so easy to set up and use, but because it is manual, we have to clear it before use, not a big deal, one more button, but a electronic set would clear after a time away, I assume. What I wanted was a smart lock, like I have on the entry doors to the house, but no one seems to have a reliable outdoor model.
if you are in the same situation as me, open ironwork, and no smartlock available, this is the best set up you can get.

I purchased and installed the Lockey 3210DC on my outside gate. The lock itself is quality, fully mechanical, easy to re-program, and has a nice feel to the keying and deadbolt action. It works well. The only reason it’s not full 5 stars is that it appears to be somewhat less sturdy and possibly easier to break/rip off compared, for example, to the old Schlager I had in place. The Lockey’s both halves/sides are connected and held against the door frame with two relatively small gauge screws, and furthermore there are black rubber spacers between each half and the door frame, presumably for weather sealing. These spacers effectively create a soft gap between the lock and the door frame, which could be straight forward to exploit by sliding a pry bar into it and ripping the lock off by breaking the connecting screws. For comparison, the old lock metal body was flush against the door frame, and the connecting screws were heavy gauge, making the whole thing considerably harder to compromise. The deadbolt itself is plenty sturdy and not a problem, and the weakness in this case seems to be in the way the lock body is mounted. So in my case, the Lockey provides more convenience and functionality, but a bit less security overall, which is fine for an outside gate, but could be an issue for other locations.

This was a new product for my experienced locksmith to install. He was skeptical, because he’d never seen your brand before. We installed it on our gate which needed both sides accessed while adding security. My locksmith was very impressed with the product and found it very easy to install. We are extremely happy with GoKeyless!

The 3210DC and 3230DC locks with the double sided keypad are excellent for use on gates to prevent un-wanted entry from either side. The locks install easy and are easy to set the code.

I am an architect, and therefore try to plan ahead more that a lot of construction people. I have not yet built the gate and installed the hardware. I have looked at the products, and they appear to be everything I hoped for.

I recently purchased my second keyless gate lock from GoKeyless. I had purchased the first one – a Lockey 3210DC, several years ago, and have found that I couldn’t do without it. It has performed flawlessly, and weather has had no effect. So I ordered another one for my second gate. Ordering online was easy and it shipped quickly. Thanks again for a great product and excellent service.
