Customer Questions & Answers

  1. Answered by the admin

The slide bolt can be locked in the closed or open position. The bolt will only slide with the valid combination entered.

  2. Answered by the admin

The door can only have 1 combination set at a time that will lock/unlock the bolt. This combination is not reset when the door is unlocked or locked.

  3. Q Can this be used on a metal gate with sheet metal screws? answer now
Asked by Don Mills on June 19, 2021 3:46 PM
    Answered by the admin

Yes, this lock can certainly be used on metal gates as long as the gap between the gate and the post is less than 7/8 in.

  4. Answered by the admin

For heavier gate applications that do not have an existing latching mechanism, we would recommend a more robust locking system. For the best options for your application, please contact our sales team at 937-247-9327, option 1!

  5. Q Will this work for a sliding gate? answer now
Asked by Rachel on October 19, 2020 10:39 AM
    Answered by the admin

This will not work on a typical sliding door as the bolt would simply slide out of the catch. For sliding doors, we usually recommend swing or hook bolts to properly secure the door.

  6. Q Would you recommend this for a pool fence? answer now
Asked by Lindsay Nowaczyk on May 5, 2020 3:10 PM
    Answered by the admin

For lighter gates, this lock would work for added security! For heavier gate applications, a more heavy-duty bolt may be recommended.

  7. Q Can the lock be used on a door? answer now
Asked by Paul Strickland on June 29, 2019 1:31 AM
    Answered by the admin

While it can be installed on a door, please bear in mind that the throw is only 7/8 of an inch as it is primarily designed for light applications (such as sheds, cabinets, etc...). I would advise on measuring the distance from the edge of your door to your door frame to ensure that the bolt will be long enough to latch properly.

  8. Q How do you set the combination answer now
Asked by Alex Tyson on October 15, 2018 4:16 PM
    A

Thank you for reaching you for asking. While we do not have the instruction online you can find the directions for changing the code at LockeyUSA.com You will need to download the instructions but it will have all of the information you require.

  9. Q What is the metal used? answer now
Asked by Gul Balwani on September 16, 2018 1:01 PM
    A

    These are a Zinc diecast.

  10. Q can it be used on vinyl fence and can it be accessed from both sides answer now
Asked by dawn mucaria on August 22, 2018 11:28 AM
A This lock would not be recommended for a vinyl fence application. The lock is meant to be used with small, lightweight applications such as a cabinet and is only accessible from one side.
