Since no combination will unlock the door currently, the combination chamber will need to be manually reset. This process will require the lock to be removed from the door.
To reset the combination chamber without the current code, please follow the steps in the document below.

These locks can certainly be installed on a gate but may require a gate box for proper mounting. The Simplex 1011 does not offer an override but the Simplex 1021 does feature a manual key override to bypass the keypad if desired.

Unfortunately, the lever and knob models each require slightly different housing. The lock will need to be ordered for either knob or lever usage.

Yes! The handles for this model is reversible to fit both left and right-handed doors.

Installed well (I had the contractor do it). Reprogrammed the code and everything went smoothly. There was one time that I was having trouble with the code but it seemed to clear itself and works OK now.

While the install was a little tedious the end result is awesome. We used this on our detached garage. We wanted to start locking the door on a regular basis for safety but soon found it annoying to have to go get the keys when we wanted to access the garage. This lock works perfect. Not only does it automatically lock when you shut the door but, there is the freedom not to have to carry keys around with you at all times. Please note that that the standard backset (edge of door to center of knob hole) on a predrilled hole is 2-3/8″. The lock comes standard with a 2-3/4″ latch so be prepared to by the 2-3/8″ separately unless you are drilling a blank door for the knob.
