1. Remove the inside knob by using the
pointed end of the spanner wrench (item “i”

loaded retaining clip, visible through the
poke hole in the collar of the cylindrical
drive unit.
2. Pull the knob while simultaneously
releasing the retaining clip.

Since no combination will unlock the door currently, the combination chamber will need to be manually reset. This process will require the lock to be removed from the door.
To reset the combination chamber without the current code, please follow the steps in the document below.

These locks can certainly be installed on a gate but may require a gate box for proper mounting. The Simplex 1011 does not offer an override but the Simplex 1021 does feature a manual key override to bypass the keypad if desired.

Unfortunately, the lever and knob models each require slightly different housing. The lock will need to be ordered for either knob or lever usage.

I enjoy ordering online and the price is better than my previous purchase with a local vendor. Ordering on line is the best thing for busy professionals like myself and thousands of others like me. The lock is a good lock and is just what my Community needs to offer a secure environment that allows others a measure of safety. Thanks & I am glad I found you.

Buddy from New Hampshire –
To be perfectly honest the installation of the keyless lock is not complete. I was somewhat / very disappointed with the fact that the new lock did not fit into the existing holes in the door. So either the current holes need to be plugged and new holes drilled; or the door needs to be replaced again with new holes being drilled. Plugging the current holes is the most economical approach but the plugs need to be custom crafted another painful exercise.
