Yes, there is a handle included for the interior side of the door. However, this handle remains unlocked for exiting the door.

This unit will relock as soon as the handle returns to rest after being pulled for entry.

This model cannot as it is fit for a cylindrical locking device. If you are looking for this model that is compatible with the VD99, I would recommend looking at the Simplex 5010!

The Simplex 5010 would be the closest model that can be fit to work with a Von Duprin 99 panic device.

The lock itself is non-handed. You can choose which handing you need in the field. So, yes, it will work for your needs.

Once you have pressed the Enter button it will then allow you to engage the latch and enter the door.

I now have about ten years of experience with this product, in an apartment building that has two gated entrances with this lock. Over the ten years I have replaced 4 locks. Something inside breaks that causes the lever to go slack and not open after you put in the combination. They last about 2 years in my experience (32 units in apt building; I’d cal that medium traffic load).
The first time it happened I thought it must be old because we had just bought the building and I had no way to know how old it was. Ditto the second one. But after that I knew the history. I have to keep using them because the gates have been cut to an exact profile of this lock, but I’m not happy at all.
I have not found anyone local who repairs these. I opened it up once but the mechanism is pretty complicated and not worth my time to figure out, and who knows how I’d get parts anyway.

Replaced expensive, but troublesome entrance locks with these in 3 locations without any serious difficulties. One installation required a call for help, but the technical support was excellent and got me on the right track quickly.
I can recommend this lock for anyone who wants to keep a doorway secure without worrying about keys.

The product was installed at our law office. While it appears rugged and easy to operate, it is very difficult to maintain the premises secure by routinely changing the combination to protect from individuals gaining access who no longer work at the office. There is no network of individuals to provide a combination changing service. So, if you are in a business that demands security and combination changes are necessary, this is NOT for you.

The lock would not work until my handyman called the company and figured out the cylinder was installed either backwards or upside down. Once he fixed it, it worked. Just thought you should know.
