After putting in a valid code this lock will remain unlocked until the handle is turned, then it will relock.

This is typically an indication that someone attempted to change the combination but missed a step during the process causing the combination chamber to be cleared. To resolve this issue, the combination chamber will need to be manually reset using the steps below.

The key override is just to unlock the door should there be an emergency or if the code isn't working. It does not lock it back.

Yes! This lock requires no power to function and does not use any sort of battery or hardwired power source.

When the key is used, this will only temporarily unlock the door. This model does not have any passage mode capabilities. However, the Simplex 5041 does have the ability to be left unlocked by turning the interior knob. The Simplex 5041 can be found here: https://www.gokeyless.com/product/kaba-simplex-5041-keyless-lock/

The Simplex 5000 model is typically ordered with either levers or knobs for both sides (the knob version can be found here).

We have been using the Simplex 5021 model keypad in our food processing operation for more nearly two years now. With my previous brand’ a Codelocks 500′ I was replacing part of the lockset about every six months in my high-traffic area. I have not needed to repair or replace my first 5021in that same area in 22 months. I’ve outfitted my plant with 5021s throughout. No regrets.

The Kaba Simplex 5021mechanical keyless lock is a perfect for applications that get a lot of use. We install these on apartment buildings’ climate controlled storage units and offices with security zones. I have been using these locks for years without any issues that are common with mechanical locks that get heavy use. Also a key feature is that it is left and right field configurable as opposed to many other mechanical locks. Very heavy duty locks and gokeyless.com has them at a great price.

I purchased two of these simplex 5021. I had never bought these models nor had I installed these before and it was my first purchase from GoKeyless.com. I was skeptical’ but not anymore. These were simple to install and configure with easy to follow instructions. They are very sturdy. I installed them on the Banks teller area. There is daily traffic. Of the two’ one malfunctioned after about 2 or 3 months of installation. I called Gokeyless and told them about it. They told me what to do and where to call for the manufacturer warranty. I couldn?t be happier with GoKeyLess and the simplex guys. They were nice and quick to replace my malfunctioning door lock. It?s been 6 months now and still working just fine.
