Looking to use voice commands to lock your door with Amazon Alexa?  Simply pair the Kwikset wireless lock to the VeraPlus controller and then enable the Vera skill inside the Alexa app. Speak “Alexa, lock the front door” to your Amazon Echo or Dot, and Vera will lock the door.  Cool part is you can add electronic switches, Z-Wave LED bulbs, remote control outlets and other devices to create groups in Alexa for automating certain routines you manually do every day, like turning the lights off and locking the doors when you go to bed at night.

GoKeyless is a trained and authorized Kwikset® dealer. Sales, service, and support. It's why thousands of clients around the world choose GoKeyless™ for their security and access control needs each year. Winner of the 2010 CEA Mark of Excellence Award and recently featured on ABC's The View by Dr. Gadget, this new Kwikset wireless deadbolt lock provides you the luxury of remotely locking and unlocking your door from anywhere in the world.  Just imagine, you're at 35,000 feet and would like to check if you remembered to lock your front door.  You fire up your iPad or smartphone, make a couple clicks, and shockingly see you left your door unlocked.  Before Home Connect, you'd be SOL, but not now.  Touch the lock button on your mobile device and it's locked.  Engineered for enrollment into home monitoring and security systems, the SmartCode Z-Wave Plus Deadbolt with Home Connect can transform the way you live. Out of the box, the lock works as a keyless entry system only, however, it's fully wireless enabled.  To take advantage of the wireless remote control and monitoring features you need a compatible controller.  Residential access control and top level security doesn't get any better.  According to the FBI, of the approximate 2.2 million burglaries committed in the US in 2008, nearly a third were unforced, unauthorized entries.  So many of us — even though we know better — who don't lock our doors.  Some of us won't ever lock up because it's one more thing to do, or we simply don't have the sense anything bad is going to happen.  Albeit this creates an incredibly dangerous situation for your family and belongings, it's almost understandable because keys are a huge pain.  In fact, when surveyed as to why folks don't lock their doors, keys are the overwhelming most common reason.  Most of us think they will only get lost anyway.  Others of us are the type who leave the door open when we leave the house briefly.  We're only gone for an hour or less to pick up the kids after soccer, or replenish the pantry.  This is plenty of time for an intruder to make off with your lightweight possessions like your DVD players, iPods, Netbooks and laptop PC's, and mom's jewelry.  That's what is so ingenious about this keyless lock.  Keys aren't necessary, and using the same device to check your email, surf the internet, and send and receive text messages, you can control the security of your residence even when you aren't home.

    3. Exchange the batteries with a fresh set and slide the holder back into the lock.
    4. Reinstall the sliding cover and fasten the two screws to hold the cover in place.

  2. Q What is the model number? The locksmith needs it to install the lock. answer now
Asked by fred garcia on March 22, 2021 10:35 PM
    A

The model of this lock is the Kwikset Smartcode 910.

The full part number for the Satin Nickel finish is 910TRL ZW500 15 SMT RCALFD.

  3. Q Which button is the program key? answer now
Asked by Ralph Gonzalez on April 28, 2020 5:59 PM
    A

This will be the button located on the interior unit under the battery cover.

  4. Q Does this lock work with Alarm.com systems? answer now
Asked by Donnell Digby on April 25, 2020 7:41 PM
    A

This model is fully integrated with the Alarm.com platform!

  5. Q How do you change the code? answer now
Asked by Fabrice Habelski on April 25, 2020 2:46 PM
    A

Follow the below to enroll a new access code on the Smartcode 910:
1.) Make sure the door is Open. Press the Program button once.
2.) Enter a new user code between 4 and 8 digits. Up to 16 codes can be enrolled at once.
3.) Press the Lock button once.
4.) One green flash with one beep indicates that the code has been successfully enrolled. Three red flashes mean that the code may already be enrolled or that the lock has reached its 16 code capacity.

  6. Q Can this luck be controlled by an app? And what app? answer now
Asked by Cam on January 31, 2020 4:46 PM
    A

This lock can be paired with most Z-Wave hubs. Each Z-Wave hub will typically have its own app that can be used to control the devices remotely. A common hub would be VeraEdge or VeraPlus, which would utilize the Vera Mobile app.

  7. A

To reset this cylinder and allow it to be rekeyed, you will need a SmartKey Reset Cradle. This part can be special ordered or may be available for use at your local door hardware store.

  8. A

According to the manufacturers' website, the Smartcode 910 and the 888 should be fully compatible with the Smartthings hub. Unfortunately, Smartthings is not a platform that we carry here at GoKeyless. For assistance with programming these locks remotely through this system, we would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer, Samsung, directly for any assistance!

  9. Q does this work without the vera edge? answer now
Asked by David Edwards on March 12, 2019 1:06 PM
    A

Yes, it is able to be programmed by hand at the lock itself and does not need the Vera to operate. However, if you wish to use the home automation features you will need a Z-wave hub like the Vera to connect to the lock.

  10. Q Do the number key pads light up? answer now
Asked by John Dumont on January 13, 2019 6:50 PM
    A

Yes, they have a backlight feature.
