Concept and styling are good, but plastic construction (plastic thickness and hinges) is fragile and design could use some improvement (mounting holes need to be countersunk). Also, installation instructions need improvement.

We have an exterior keyless entry lock and this provides protection from water getting on/in the lock, It Works.
The lift up section makes getting to the reader simple.

Lost east and west facing key pads to sun burn out? So trying these! Installation causing me to taper door stop on door frame, base hits door stop.

I’ve installed Yale keyless entry on two of my outside doors. The keypads are rated for outside use, so normally that would be the end of things except that I live in central Texas where it is common to have summers with temperatures over 100 degrees for months at a time. Worse, both doors have southern exposures.
Over the years I’ve learned that nothing withstands the heat here, especially where there is direct sunlight involved. Everything cracks, warps or just stops working, even if rated for exterior use.
Wanting to keep my expensive keypads working for a few years, I decided to invest in covers, preferably something opaque. Well, I didn’t find completely dark ones, but this cover is as close as it gets and does the job nicely! I’ve noticed the keypads stay cooler and the battery life – hugely affected by heat – is much better with the covers installed.
Probably not what the manufacturer intended, but it solved my problem perfectly.
