Customer Questions & Answers
- Q Do all touchpad models have multiple codes capability? answer nowAsked by October 24, 2019 9:54 AMonAnswered by the admin
This will depend on the model and the manufacturer of the unit. For Schlage models, all of their units typically support multiple user codes.

To change the battery on this lock, you will want to remove the black battery cover from the top of the inside portion. Once removed, simply disconnect and exchange the 9V battery inside before reinstalling the battery cover. It is recommended to exchange the batteries quickly and to ensure no keys on the keypad are pressed while the battery is disconnected.
- Q I have this exact lock which is awesome but I wanted to know what is the purpose of the two black... answer nowAsked by August 14, 2019 10:07 AMonAnswered by the admin
Rather than buttons, these two black pegs are actually a 9 volt tap for emergency situations. If your battery happens to lose its charge, you can hold a 9 volt battery to these contacts to power the lock and allow you to enter your code for entry.

No, this is not a home automation lock. You would need to have a lock that connects with a home automation hub such as our Schlage/Vra Plus kits. We would recommend that you speak with our home automation specialist team to ensure that you pick the best products for your home.
- Answered by the admin
While this lock does not have that feature there are kits available for Home Automation that pair with other deadbolt locks that will allow an audit trail. Our Z-wave Starter Kit with the Vera Edge hub and Yale will allow you to accomplish this feature. You will need to have high-speed internet in the home in order to make it work.
- Q Will vera edge work with this lock so I can unlock it from my smartphone? answer nowAsked by August 25, 2018 5:04 PMonAnswered by the admin
No, this is a standard keypad lock. For a lock that works with Vera you need a Z-wave capable lock such as the BE468.
- Q I noted that the description says the front body is weatherproof. How about the other side? I nee... answer nowAsked by April 5, 2018 8:13 PMonA The backside of the lock is not rated for outdoor use. The electronic components controlling the lock are on the interior side of the door protecting it from exterior issues.
- Q Aside from drilling into this lock Is there any other way to bypass it ? I have this lock and my ... answer nowAsked by November 15, 2017 7:33 PMonA This lock is a standalone lock with no connectivity to the internet. If however you are looking for a lock that you can audit and see when it is open and closed I would suggest using the BE468 lock with a Vera hub to be able to control remotely. With this, you will be able to see the audit of who came in when and where. https://www.gokeyless.com/product/vera-edge-zwave-home-automation-system-hub/ https://www.gokeyless.com/product/schlage-connect-be468-camelot-touchscreen-deadbolt/
- Answered by the adminNo, these only come in 2 3/8 or 2 3/4 backsets.
- Q If this is used in rental property, is it easy to disable/delete a code when a tenant moves out? answer nowAsked by October 10, 2017 12:25 PMonA Schlage provides very user-friendly instructions on adding and deleting codes. Additionally, you can utilize our technical staff to help in providing directions to these steps surrounding your lock.

Solid unit. Great finish & overall look. Fairly easy install (didn’t bother with the extra strike plate). V cool to have great security without keys. Just remember to lock up when you leave!

This lock is a welcome relief from having to do the stop and double check before locking the house. I have locked myself out of the house more times than I care to remember. Now, I move about confidently because I can always get back in (unless I forget my code 😱).

This was easy to install. Because my prior deadbolt was also from Schlage, i only needed to change the external hardware but not the deadbolt itself. Programming a code was quick and easy.
As to the impact on our household, we are now using our front door as a frequent option for coming and going. We used to go through the garage when out for a walk in the neighborhood, because we could use the code for the garage door when we would return and needed keyless entry into the house. Using this keyless deadbolt on our front door is a bit quicker, really simple, and more convenient. We should have purchased one of these sooner!

The Schlage BE375 Touch Keyless Lock was easy to install and very simple to program and operate. We needed an easy way to exit and enter the house without carrying a key and this is it. We can also create and erase temporary codes for visitors which relieves us of having to give out keys. While we have used some very sophisticated and complicated electronic locks from Samsung and others, this Schlage lock if a better, cheaper and much easier product to use.

installation and usage of this lock has been so convenient. I’m never going back to using a key door lock again. The look matches my existing door handle perfectly. No more scrambling to look for keys. It even includes a light to see the numbers in the dark. We’re also glad that we used this website. The price was better than my local hardware store.
