- Q Why would my lock be working backward when locked push Schlage button lock engaged turn to unlock... answer nowAsked by January 5, 2020 11:49 PMonAnswered by the admin
This typically is a clear indicator that the handing of the lock is backward. This means that your lock thinks it is installed on a right-hand door when it is actually installed on a left-hand door or vice versa. As this is an installation issue, you will need to remove the lock from the door to rectify this issue. When reinstalling the unit, you will want to ensure that your deadbolt is retracted (not extended) and that the manual knob of the lock is in a vertical position.
- Q Why does the outside lock spin loosely before unlocking? answer nowAsked by December 16, 2019 8:52 AMonAnswered by the admin
The manual knob will spin until a code is entered. At that time, the motor will move the solenoid into place and allow the knob to open the door.
- Q Do you have to punch your entire code in every time you leave? Or is there a quicker way to exit ... answer nowAsked by December 9, 2019 11:00 AMonAnswered by the admin
To lock the door from the outside, simply press the Schlage button at the top of the unit.

Solid unit. Great finish & overall look. Fairly easy install (didn’t bother with the extra strike plate). V cool to have great security without keys. Just remember to lock up when you leave!

This lock is a welcome relief from having to do the stop and double check before locking the house. I have locked myself out of the house more times than I care to remember. Now, I move about confidently because I can always get back in (unless I forget my code 😱).

This was easy to install. Because my prior deadbolt was also from Schlage, i only needed to change the external hardware but not the deadbolt itself. Programming a code was quick and easy.
As to the impact on our household, we are now using our front door as a frequent option for coming and going. We used to go through the garage when out for a walk in the neighborhood, because we could use the code for the garage door when we would return and needed keyless entry into the house. Using this keyless deadbolt on our front door is a bit quicker, really simple, and more convenient. We should have purchased one of these sooner!

The Schlage BE375 Touch Keyless Lock was easy to install and very simple to program and operate. We needed an easy way to exit and enter the house without carrying a key and this is it. We can also create and erase temporary codes for visitors which relieves us of having to give out keys. While we have used some very sophisticated and complicated electronic locks from Samsung and others, this Schlage lock if a better, cheaper and much easier product to use.

installation and usage of this lock has been so convenient. I’m never going back to using a key door lock again. The look matches my existing door handle perfectly. No more scrambling to look for keys. It even includes a light to see the numbers in the dark. We’re also glad that we used this website. The price was better than my local hardware store.
