This information is typically pulled from your area/location and may not reflect the actual temperatures unless a temperature sensor is installed. To troubleshoot any potential errors, we would recommend contacting the manufacturer, Trane, at 1-844-529-8237!

This unit is powered by your 24VAC common wire for thermostat controllers.

This model does not have any sensors for a remote but can be paired with a smart hub to control the unit from your phone or another connected device.

Alexa is a software AI by Amazon and works with Amazon devices. You would need a Z-wave Hub that works with an Amazon Echo or similar device with Alexa and also works with this thermostat in order to use the Alexa AI. The Vera hubs work with some Amazon products such as the Echo which would, in turn, control the thermostat.
- Q Do you need to have an Nexia subscription at $9.99/month? answer nowAsked by June 1, 2019 3:33 PMonA
Only if you are using the Nexia Platform.

No, this is a fully hardwired thermostat that is powered by the HVAC unit itself.
- Q Can I use this thermostat with an Arzel zoning device bolted on to a brand new Trane air handler?... answer nowAsked by February 12, 2019 6:00 AMonA
You would need to speak with the manufacturer Trane as well as Azrel as that is not a system we sell or service and these should be installed by a Trane professional.

If you want this product, GoKeyless is the only way to go! They are great! I like the look of the TraneXL824 and it functions well! My only problem is we have 4 of them and my Trane HVAC installation representative said I had to pay for each individual thermostat separately for remote internet access. Not good. I wouldn’t mind if they were all encompassed in one $10 fee. So it doesn’t help at all when we’re not home since $40/month is exorbitant and a bit ridiculous for the privilege of accessing my own thermostat! Too bad! Let the buyer beware.

We received our Trane XL824 in a very timely fashion. Since we’ve had the thermostat, we have had no issues! Things have been very smooth! I would recommend GOKEYLESS to everyone!

The device functions well and thus far has proven a good match for a new Trane HVAC system. Being able to remotely keep abreast of system performance while remote is a plus!
