Electric Strike - Dual Face-plates and Finishes

For Cylindrical Locks and Deadlatches

Less parts mean less problems! As a one-piece locking mechanism with one solenoid and two faceplate lengths, this is the easiest electric strike to install we’ve found. The cavity is the tallest in its class to solve door sag and alignment problems. A shallow backset solves the frame depth issue you run into with glass store fronts, and the headache with the auxiliary latch “pins” found on Adams Rite® locks are gone. It’s even spidey-like with removable fascia to match your frame. Strikes should be heard not seen.

  3. Easy Installation...Works as Described

    Pat Heck (verified owner)

Installed this in an existing aluminum frame door that didn’t have any access control. Hardest (and scariest) work was cutting the frame. I knew I would get to a “point of no return” so I used a cardboard box first as a model/template…and that made me feel a lot better about starting the cutting. This has worked just as described. The one thing I’m still working on is taking out some of the play in the latching. The lock comes with a small shim/plate that can be installed over the moveable part of the strike, but it isn’t designed as well as I’d like. We have a deep latch and if you pull the door open slowly it will catch on the shim. None-the-less, I’m very happy with the purchase.

Customer Questions & Answers

  1. Q Can this striker be used on an outside gate? answer now
Asked by Andrew on June 27, 2022 9:01 PM
    Answered by the admin

This model is not weather rated or recommended for exterior applications such as gates or marinas.

  2. Answered by the admin

The default behavior of this strike is Faile-Secure. This means that the strike will only unlock while power is applied. If power is cut or the circuit is not closed by a button or other relay, the strike will remain locked.

  3. A

Yes, but if you are just plugging in a CAT5 it will not operate it must be connected to a POE switch.

  4. Q does it come with the transformer? answer now
Asked by Todd Schroder on April 5, 2018 8:00 AM
A No this is just the strike itself. Please see the link below if you are needing the transformer as well. https://www.gokeyless.com/product/trine-5201-plug-24vac-low-voltage-transformer/
  5. Q is this normally open? answer now
Asked by Greg on May 16, 2017 12:45 AM
    A

Yes, since this is a strike it will operate on a Normally Open circuit.
