  1. Yale Combo handle & deadbolt lock

    Doug Nickeks (verified owner)

This unit was easy to install and set up.
Should have included key tumbler with order.
Order took to long to deliver (about 90 days, when only after pestering repeatedly about the delivery date)
Price of unit is high, over $500 with lock set key tumbler included

Unit works grate, keypad is nice and very responsive, unit is makes some noise but is not overly loud (just enough to let you know that it did in fact lock)
Only wish was that the handle when system is locked would be operable (disengaged when the door is locked, meaning it would turn but nothing moves internally)

I would consider getting 2 more units but the price is to high.

  3. Great Lock,, easy programming, android style

    Mark E/

We had a keyless in our old rental. We hired a locksmith to install (I’m NOT very handy), but the programming was easy peasy. The locksmith was here for 30 minutes, and just charged the trip charge and the min. labor. $135.00 all in.

Customer Questions & Answers

  1. Q Does the handle lock as well answer now
Asked by Mike on March 17, 2024 2:50 AM
    Answered by the admin

The lever on this lock will not lock the door. The deadbolt of the YRC226 Z-Wave is the only locking mechanism. For a locking handle, you would want a separate handle and install a YRD-226 above it.

  2. Answered by the admin

The exterior unit operating temperature range is -22°F to 140°F (-30°C to 60°C). The interior unit temperature range is 5°F to 158°F (-15°C to 70°C).

  3. Answered by the admin

The center-to-center measurement listed in the installation manual for the YRC226 is 4"-5". If you'd like to find an alternative please reach out to our sales team at 937-247-9327, select option 1.

  4. Answered by the admin

This can be accomplished when paired with a Z-Wave smart hub such as Vera!

  5. Q Do you have this lock in a 4" CTC version? answer now
Asked by Eugenia Cascante on April 19, 2022 4:12 PM
    A

We don't currently have the 4 inch CTC version in stock so it would have to ship factory direct.

  6. Answered by the admin

This model ships by default with a Yale Kwikset keyway and will use Yale KW1 key blanks. However, you can special order these units to ship with a Schlage C keyway which would use the Yale SC1 key blanks

  7. A

You do not have to connect this lock to a Z-Wave hub. You can just use the keypad.

  8. A

Yale Z-Wave locks do work with Vivint systems.

  9. Answered by the admin

We can certainly have this lock keyed to match your existing Schlage key. To accomplish this, you will need to purchase a Schlage C key cylinder (AYRD200-SCKD) and one Key Alike service for each lock.

  10. A

This lock is about just over 3 inches in width on the interior. The door thickness needs to be 1 3/4 to 1 3/8 inches as well. This would be a very tight fit.
