Don’t waste time and money with lockouts, lost keys, and cumbersome lock management. Skip the hassle and go keyless with the Yale nexTouch NTB612. This heavy-duty weather resistant lock is equipped with a tactile push button keypad for PIN code entry. Add a Z-Wave module (sold separately) to quickly generate and send secure digital codes to staff, vendors, guests, and monitor doors remotely. The lock’s low-battery indicator alerts you when it’s time to change batteries, and the 9V battery backup on the exterior prevents a lockout should the lock lose power. In case of emergency, a manual key override unlocks the outside lever. Ideal for new construction or retrofit projects in small business properties.

Gabriel Greenleaf –
I purchased 18 of these locks with a Vera hub system from gokeyless. They do not work in temperatures below zero. Condensation builds up in the mechanism and freezes and they are unable to operate. Numerous clients in our motel facility have been unable to lock the door behind them as well as get back into their rooms after returning. We manage a number of properties here in Alaska and from residential to commercial to military and have never had this much trouble in the last 15 years with locks.
Have been working with GoKeyless and Yale / Assa Abloy to resolve, both have been trying to figure out a resolution but no solution yet. I believe I am one of the first to try them for a commercial property in a northern climate. I have had them installed for about a year and have hundreds of hours into dealing with problems. Sadly my brand new fiberglass exterior doors were all prepped with the additional 1″ hole for these locks and so I’m very limited on replacement options. As of right now many of them are not working.
Look forward to a better solution now that I’m this deep into it.
