Customer Questions & Answers

  1. Q What is this key used for? answer now
Asked by Blossom on January 23, 2023 2:22 AM
    A

This key can be cut to match any key with a Schlage SC1 keyway. The most common application for this type of key is residential locks.

  2. Q Are you able to cut these? I have the Key Alike Number answer now
Asked by Bryan on July 9, 2022 1:28 AM
    Answered by the admin

We certainly can! We would recommend placing the order with one of our sales representatives to ensure that the keys are cut to the correct combination.

  3. Q How can I confirm if the Yale lock I have is 5 pin or 6 pin? answer now
Asked by James M Kastigar on October 2, 2020 6:08 PM
    Answered by the admin

6-pin keys tend to be longer than your standard 5-pin key. The easiest way to determine this would be to compare it to other keys in your possession that are known to be 5 or 6-pin. Otherwise, the best way to tell is by counting the number of cuts (valleys) on the key.

  4. Q What’s the difference between a 5-pin and a 6-pin key answer now
Asked by Emily on October 19, 2017 8:08 PM
    A

One has five pins and the other has six.
