The Lockey 285P is a mechanical punch lock that takes the place of keyed-in cylinders on panic exit doors. Simply remove the keyed-in cylinder from the exterior side of the door and insert the 285-P trim. You’ll be up and running with a keyless entry system in minutes. Weatherproof and requiring no wires or batteries. Suitable for doctor’s offices, churches, and many other types of facilities.

The 285P is a mechanical punch lock that takes the place of keyed-in cylinders on panic exit doors. Simply remove the keyed-in cylinder from the exterior side of the door and insert the 285-P trim. Weatherproof and requiring no wires or batteries. You'll be up and running with a keyless entry system in minutes. Lock recodes easily at the door in about 5-10 minutes time. Each time you don't have to get new keys made or have a locksmith re-pin your lock is money saved which wouldn't have been otherwise. Crash bars with a 90° turning radius or less on metal clad, or wood commercial doors, and narrow style doors are compatible with the Lockey 285-P. Doctor's offices, churches, and many other types of facilities and buildings can use this lock. Lock features a 4" wide x 1" high handle for compliance with the American Disabilities Act. It would depend on the rotation of your panic bar and if it is a RIM exit panic bar. The rotation must be between 42 - 55 degrees for most RIM panic bars and this lock will handle a rotation up to 62 degrees. As long as you fit within the parameters it should work.

It’s a great product, but several times it will get jammed, and I have to tell people how to fix it. I had to figure it out the first time. Some of the numbered buttons will jam and you can’t use the code to open the door. One time it even jammed in the unlock position and anybody could come in. If the lock system also had a key hole then you could lock it or unlock it if need be when the codes lock jams. It’s somewhat frustrating and kind of risky. Besides that we love it.
