Unfortunately, this lock is not designed to operate standard push exit bars. This model is typically used to operate narrow stile mortise deadlatches. For locks that can be used with your First Choice exit device, please contact our sales department at 937-247-9327, option 1!

The installation for this model is relatively simple as there is no wiring needed. Typically, the hardest part of the installation is drilling the required mounting holes through the door. The lock does include easy to follow installation instructions as well as a mounting template for the additional holes that would need to be drilled. You will want to ensure that your door stile is atleast 1 7/8 in. wide for proper mounting.

- Answered by the adminNo, this lock does not offer a passage feature. You will need an electronic lock such as the DL1200 which will keep the door unlocked. However, if you are looking to keep the latch in the door so it freely swings open and closed you could purchase this lock and the 4591 which has a mechanical holdback/dogging feature. We would highly recommend speaking with our sales staff to make sure you purchase the right product to meet your needs.
