No, this is a stand-alone deadbolt that you program at the keypad. For a remote system, you would want a home automation setup with Z-wave such as the Kwikset 910 with Vera Hub kit. This kit combined with internet access will allow you to add codes from the Vera website through the Z-wave Hub to the lock.

There is no distinction the 1-2 button is just a single push and so on. So if your code is 12568 you only push the 1-2,5-6,7-8 buttons once each. You can find the Kwikset programming guide on Youtube.
