Want to add card access or code access so you can eliminate the costs and hassles of issuing and managing keys? How about expanding your existing proximity card system to other facility doors where you are still using a traditional key? This new mortise lock can be an important part of any convenience and security upgrades because it eradicates the inherent security flaws associated with master key and keyed systems. One of the important security features with the PDL3500 is that you can program it so it requires dual credentials for granting access. Not only does the user need their card, but they also must present their PIN code. This way when a card is lost and that person tries to get in, they will not be able to.

Customer Questions & Answers
- Q Do you need any other equipment for this lock besides the Proxcards? How do you program the cards... answer nowAsked by January 17, 2021 1:58 PMonAnswered by the admin
This lock does include all of the hardware needed for installation. PIN codes and cards can be enrolled directly at the lock (through the keypad) or through a laptop via DL-Windows management software. When programming from the software, the laptop will need to be connected to the lock with a plug in cable. If you do not have a portable computer, or if DL-Windows is installed on a desktop, the AL-DTM will take the place of a laptop as this device can be programmed from a computer with your locks information, then this device can be taken to the locks to plugin and send the programming. The AL-DTM is not needed if you have a laptop or portable computer available when using DL-Windows.
