Customer Questions & Answers

  1. Q Does this product work with Vivint? answer now
Asked by Rob Scott on November 26, 2020 8:29 PM
    Answered by the admin

The Yale YRD256 is compatible with the Vivint smarthome system.

  2. Answered by the admin

This would depend on the Z-Wave controller that you are using to control the devices. With a hub such as Vera, you can create Scenes where if another device (such as a Ring Doorbell) is triggered, the lock or other device will open.

The only way this would work for all doorbells is if all of the devices were connected to the same controller that has this feature.

  3. Answered by the admin

Yes, this model is fitted with Z-Wave plus and supports secure command classes.

  4. Q Does it fit a 1” 3/8” door? answer now
Asked by Farid on April 26, 2020 4:28 PM
    Answered by the admin

Unfortunately, no. The minimum thickness for this model is 1 3/4 in.

  5. Answered by the admin

This lock is not recommended for gate applications as the interior unit is not weatherproofed. We would advise on a mechanical or fully weatherproofed model for gate applications.
