I believe the unit I got sent was second hand. It was missing a key part (the steel pin to connect the paddle to the unit) and had minor damage on the unit itself (scuff marks around edge) When I contacted the company they simply said I need to talk to the manufacturer and gave me their phone number. In the end I manufactured the internal pin myself and now it works fine. Happy with unit, and other items I bought from GoKeyless but not happy about this nor the fobbing off I got from them when I raised it.
