Customer Questions & Answers
- Q Can the code be made to be entered in a specific order, not random? answer nowAsked by September 26, 2023 3:30 PMonA
This product unfortunately does not have this feature. As long as the combination is punched in, regardless of order, the lock will open.
- Q Are you able to set the inside lock to "no code" so you can open without a code if desired? answer nowAsked by August 31, 2022 11:57 AMonA
We would recommend the single-sided Lockey 2210 for this feature so that no code is required from the inside. This model can also be left unlocked when desired as it will need to be manually locked after opening.

The correct numbers in any order will unlock the lock.

A double-sided lock such as this is perfect for this scenario as a code is needed to unlock the door from both the inside and the outside.

Most Lockey models are branded DIGITAL so you may very well have the same model that is listed here.

This lock can be manually locked from either side of the door. However, the key override is only present on the exterior unit.

Typically, these locks would come keyed directly from the manufacturer as Lockey uses a proprietary keyway for their key overrides. Because of this, the 2210 lock can be keyed alike to other Lockey units when ordered but would not be able to be keyed to a standard Schlage/Kwikset key.

Much of what is needed will depend on your current setup. For most setups, a drill and screwdriver are necessary, however, before purchasing we would highly recommend you speak with our gate and fence department to ensure you are getting the best product for your needs.

I have to figure out how to get it off the gate. I purchased two locks . 1 is broken already- won’t lock.

I had a gate to our condo that you could reach through so I wanted a lock that was double-sided and had a key bypass, this answered all aspects. Changing the code was easy, an installation was a breeze…. it’s nice now to not need a key to open the gate. I like the idea that this was mechanical and not battery operated.

The product works good, however there are a few things I would most definitely change. Having to remember 2 different combinations is a problem; I know your answer will be that the combination can be changed. I tried that, was able to get 3 screws out but the 4th screw I stripped due to how tight the screw was installed from the factory. Your customer service representative said I could send $4.00 for a replacement screw which I’m not going to do as I will probably end up stripping another screw on the opposite combination. Also had a problem with the back plate (for lack of a better word), got wrong one as the plate wasn’t included with the original shipment. I ordered and paid $16.00 for a part that didn’t fit; I was told I ordered the wrong part. I only ordered the part for my specific model so I don’t know how I could have given your customer service department a different product number. I was told I could send the wrong parts back and if everything was included I would get a credit for $16.00. By the time I pay for shipping it wouldn’t pay for me to return the items.
The product does give me rest knowing that no one can come in or out without the code. That was exactly what I was looking for. If the above conditions were more consumer happy I would have rated the product 5 stars.

I am the parent of a 8 year old child with severe autism. He has eloped numerous times. We previously had an alarm, a chain, plus 2 locks. Our little Houdini escaped them all. This lock is absolutely amazing, the peace of mind knowing our guy can’t leave without supervision is priceless. I wish I knew this exisited years ago. Thank you!!!

The product features say there are 8000+ possible 3-5 character codes. But there are only 2288 UNIQUE codes, since the order of the characters doesn’t matter. We may think there’s a difference between codes 1-2-3 and 3-2-1, but a criminal trying to guess the code only has to try one of them. I won’t bore you with the math, but locks where the combination ordering doesn’t matter, like this one, are more vulnerable to brute force attacks (i.e. trying every possible combination) than one might think after reading the features.
