  2. More delicate than other locks

    Joe (verified owner)

The installation process is not simple and one wrong move can make the lock inoperable. Otherwise, all good.

  3. Very Happy Customer

We have this lock on our church door and love it. It is easy to use and once it is programed it is very easy to add new codes.

  4. Great lock

Kevin Marquart-Project Manager Wildfire homes (verified owner)

We have used the Trilogy lock on 3 of our buildings, in a development. easy install, programming went faster every building. They have been in use now for a few months and have had no complaints by tenants. Product appears to do what it claims . We will continue to use these through out the development

  5. Great electronic lock

    Chris (verified owner)

I run some lodging properties and these are perfect for what we need. I love how you can use a 3 digit code (or more if you want) and not have to push any other buttons… when looking into locks be sure to find out not only how many numbers are needed for a code, but also how many other buttons you have to push to have it unlock. Other locks make you use 4-6 digit codes and have to push arrows, stars, hash tags etc. which turns out to be a pain in the *** if you are using it frequently. Batteries last years & code updating is the easiest in the industry. Duronodic is a nice, comfortable color that makes the Trilogy T2 look less industrial… but how about just calling it oil rubbed bronze like everyone else 🙂

Only con is the installation and there are a few less than ideals. The lock has a unique hole drilling template so is not easy to install. Also it is a royal pain to switch the handle if needed out of the box, as well as not easy to get the width right to match the door. I can install most residential locks myself just fine (electronic & not), however I have ended up hiring a locksmith to install the Trilogy T2 just so that it is done right and quickly.

  6. Consistently good & reliable

    Jane (verified owner)

After looking extensively for an upgrade to our previous 10 year old keylock, we ended up purchasing the same (updated) lock and are once again very pleased with it’s quality and usability. Firstly, it works! It’s reliable, easy to install, and easy to use. I recommend this lock to anyone looking for a secure, reliable keyless lock.

  10. Good lock

    A. Gomez (verified owner)

I installed those on metal doors, so I required help from a professional to do it correctly. The configuration is easily explained in the booklet. It’s a great lock for different codes, users, etc. Recommended.

Customer Questions & Answers

  1. Q Can you use rechargeable AA batteries? answer now
Asked by Cbc on June 5, 2023 8:06 AM
    A

You can use rechargeable batteries for this unit, though it is not recommended as battery life tends to drain quicker when using lithium batteries. It is recommended to use alkaline batteries for optimal performance.

  2. A

If you are wanting to change a user code every month, this can be done in minutes! Please refer to the user manual for more information on the process of adding, deleting, and changing user codes.

  3. Q What is the model number for the replacement battery? answer now
Asked by Dave on February 13, 2023 3:41 PM
    A

The Trilogy DL2700 operates on 5 AA batteries. Make sure to use alkaline batteries, lithium ion batteries will not work correctly.

  4. A

No, thought Trilogy does have a lock with a Privacy function for restroom use: Trilogy DL4100.

There is also a Privacy model with a prox card reader: Trilogy PDL4100.

  5. A

No, the keypad is not backlit in any way.

  6. A

The Trilogy DL2700 has a programming function that will allow you disable a user's code. However, you cannot determine the time frame in which it would automatically become usable again. You would have to manually enable the code at the keypad. For this feature, you would have to use the Trilogy DL2800 which allows scheduled usage to be programmed.

  7. A

For this, you will need the Trilogy DL2700IC model!

  8. A

The handing of the Trilogy DL2700 and DL2700WP is field reversible.

  9. A

For audit capabilities, you will need the DL2800 model. The DL2700 does not offer any audit or scheduling capabilities.

  10. A

The lock can be set to auto-lock between 5 - 15 seconds after opening with a valid code. When using the master code, you can also set the lock to a passage mode where the door will not relock until the passage mode is disabled using the master code again.
