They said it couldn't be done.  They said it was not possible.  Well, the truth is Trine Access Technology has made it reality.  Meet what is dubbed the world's smallest electric door strike.  With up to 70% less cutting of the frame during installation, the Trine 3000 series has rapidly become the go-to strike for completing a door release or access control system.  Install this in place of a standard door strike when you are using an outside keypad, card reader, or fingerprint reader, or when you are wanting to remotely release the door from inside your home or building; for example, you have an intercom system, or you want your secretary to be able to buzz people in.

The latch and transformer that I purchased was exactly as shown on the web site. This is installed in a new home and went in easily and looks good. While I haven’t completed the home yet’ I did test the latch and it worked perfectly. If it lasts as it should I will be well satisfied.

I ordered this unit to go with my SVAT video unit. I tried other brand electric latches with it and they didn’t work nearly as well as this one did. For a low-voltage latch it works like a charm. EXCELLENT BUY !!!

This model cannot be set to allow free egress if power is lost. Fail-Secure means that the strike will remain locked if power is cut. Fail-Safe means the strike will be unlocked if power is lost. For your application, we would recommend a strike that is configured for Fail-Safe.
