    S6161 inside battery install kit allows you to install the battery on the inside of your door for your Trilogy narrow stile locks.  Recommended for all Trilogy narrow stile locks, except the narrow stile exit locks because of the panic bar on the inside.  By using the inside install kit you do not have to take the lock off the door when installing or replacing the battery, nor do you have to drill an extra hole to access the screw on the back of the lock.  This provides a significant convenience advantage.  Installing the battery on the outside or inside does not have any bearing on the security of the lock's power source, it simply makes it easier on you to use this kit.  Kit does not include part number S6170, which is the battery. S6170 sold separately.
