The Marks LocDown LA318GJ Maximum Security Mortise Lockset provides emergency lockdown for classroom doors creating safer environments during high risk situations. Teachers can secure classrooms with a key from inside without having to step out into the hallway. Inside key operation is single acting and can only go in one direction, locking exterior lever only. Students and faculty remain safely inside the classroom while the intruder is locked out. The latch can be retracted at any time using the interior lever. A large indicator changes from green to red showing lockdown status and peace of mind that the room is secure. LocDown series locks easily retrofit to existing standard locks.
