Schlage cores to fit into locks that are prepped for Schlage IC. IC/removable cores fit into the "IC prep", and allow you to re-key your locks without having to remove the entire lock from the door and take it apart.  IC cores are generally used within a master key system.  Your new core will come with two operating keys. Control key (for removing the core) sold separately.
