This model can be used on Wood, Vinyl, and Metal gates without issue. The bolt can be extended from both the interior and exterior side without a code but will require a code to retract the bolt from the outside unit.

The knob can be set to turn either direction to match the handing of your door.

The Short bar is 7/8 throw and the Long bar is 2 ¼ throw.

Very easy and convenient. Easy to install once I took matters into my own hands and out of the fence guy’s. It is a little smaller than I imagined and someone could kick the gate and the screws would pop on the receiving end of the latch – but they could also jump the fence if they were that determined. Service at gokeyless was very good – I was directed to the lock I needed and extension kit – very courteous and prompt.

I purchased this lock for my mother who lives in a senior citizen apartment complex in an urban area. Needless to say that she needed this type of lock to ensure her personal safety against break-ins. She was very appreciative of my generous gift’ seeing as how the lock was costly’ but I say that safety can not be measured. As far as I know she has experienced no issues with the lock’ from either a manufacturing standpoint or otherwise.
