The front side of this lock is weather resistant, but the back side is not. This product is not recommended to be used in full outdoor applications.

This will be big enough, though there will be a small change in the installation procedure. Please refer to the installation guide under "Lock Installation" to learn more!

This model can be set to automatically lock after a 30-second delay or be locked immediately by pressing the lock button at the top of the keypad.

First, you will need to remove the battery cover from the inside assembly. This can be done by squeezing the tabs on the sides of the cover, then lifting off. You can push against the thumbturn for leverage if needed. Once complete, simply exchange the 4 batteries inside and reinstall the cover!

This would be enough clearance to install the JBE105 above the handleset.

The Schlage J series does not offer a keypad lockout function after X failed attempts. For keypads that do offer this setting, please reach out to our staff at 937-247-9327, option 1!

Yes! The key cylinder in this model can be rekeyed to any Schlage C, 5-pin key number.

This product came complete with all components to adapt to existing doors with either 2″ or 2 1/4″ offsets. Instructions were thorough and easy to understand; I was able to get codes programmed within minutes. All hardware was of high quality, and feels solid when when mechanism is engaged either manually or through motorized functions.
I have had this lock installed over 6 months with use by 6 family members many times per day. It still feels as solid and certain when engaged as the day I installed it. I would highly recommend this lock set to anyone who has a high volume of entry/exits on a daily basis and whoul wants to have variable length lock codes assigned. I will be buying three more of these units for my other homes and exterior doors.
