We have other door locks from Alarm Lock, but our experience with this lock leads me to believe that it is under-engineered junk. It almost worked for a year before we started having trouble with the lock. It finally failed, and we spent HOURS communicating and attempting to communicate with the support personnel at Alarm Lock. Their support was pathetic, to say the least. I understand the necessity of a lock with this form factor for glass doors, but the engineering built into this lock lacks the robustness necessary for regular use. I cannot recommend this lock because it has cost me and my company personnel many hours of our lives. The internal engineering is junk. I know because after we couldn't get help from the manufacturer, I disassembled the lock myself to examine the failed parts. I am a service technician by trade, so I have to repair novel machines daily. The tiny screw spring that articulates the locking mechanism and the sliding hardware are insufficiently built. I cannot imagine the lock enduring the normal usage traffic required by an apartment building since it could not even unlock six times a day for us. The bottom line is that this lock is not worth the investment. Find another solution.
GoKeyless shipped the lock fast and installation was smooth. The Alarm Lock software was installed and connected to the lock on the first try. We have 30 employees that use the lock daily.
