Sold as a complete kit your new prox/keypad cabinet lock includes the keypad unit, a contactless proximity card reader, an inside surface mounted motorized latch, and latch cable. Programmable at the lock, or using a PC (requires LockView software), the eLock cabinet prox card + keypad system eliminates the operational and liability issues associated with keys, and offers you a longer lasting solution compared to magstripe, and one that is more difficult to duplicate than strictly using PIN codes. You can require dual authentication with this lock, so the user must know their PIN, and have their proximity access card on them. With eLock, cabinet doors won't get left open, and you'll end keys being lost, shared, and stolen, because people won't have to carry cabinet keys. eLock comes in several configurations, including numeric keypad only, magstripe plus keypad, prox reader plus keypad, and iClass prox plus keypad. With the magstripe and prox reader units, your existing identification cards can be directly programmed into the lock - no need to buy new cards.
