ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA NTX712

The ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA NTX712 is a contactless smart credential updater designed to keep access credentials current, secure, and synchronized across an Accentra access control system. At least one NTX712 is required per system, and it is strongly recommended for high-use entry doors where credentials should be refreshed frequently through everyday use.

As users present their credentials, the NTX712 automatically updates permissions, audits, and security data—helping ensure that credentials remain valid without requiring manual reissuance. Functionally idential to the NTX742, the NXT712 can function as a single-door controller for standalone applications or serve as an enrollment station where credentials are initialized and updated before deployment. Its compact mini-mullion design makes it ideal for door frames and high-traffic openings where reliable, hands-free operation is essential.

The NTX712 is available in two wiring configurations—pigtail or terminal strip—allowing installers to choose the option that best matches their installation environment and service preferences.

Pigtail vs. Terminal Strip – What’s the Difference?

• Pigtail Version
  The pigtail model comes with pre-attached wire leads. This option is typically preferred for faster installations, retrofits, or situations where wiring is already pulled and connections will be made using wire nuts or crimp connectors.

• Terminal Strip Version
  The terminal strip model features screw terminals built directly into the device. This version is often favored for structured wiring environments, control panels, or installations where clean, serviceable, and clearly labeled connections are required.

Both versions deliver identical performance and functionality—the difference is purely in wiring and installation preference.
