The Trilogy DL2800 removes the tedious process of managing and then re-keying keys when someone moves on. With scheduling and audit trail, you can set door access at a pre-determined time, and report on the lock’s activity. Even in today’s high tech world, the vast majority of businesses don’t realize there are locking machines capable of simple access control which don’t cost thousands of dollars. This model could be installed on a chain-link fence application but would require additional hardware for mounting. You would need to purchase a weldable gate box to mount the lock on the gate along with a strike bracket to mount on the post for the lock to latch on to.

This lock runs on 4 AA batteries and does not use WIFI or any wireless communications.

Yes! This lock can be reversed in the field to be used on both left and right-handed doors.

For ocean-front properties, we would recommend a more weather-proofed version such as the Trilogy DL2700WP. The housing is made from a Zinc Alloy and is resistant to corrosion.

This is a great lock, but DO NOT waste your time buying the associated software and cable for programming unless you have to use multiple locks. It is simple to program if this is the only lock you’ll use for your business.

Have installed four of these and like the way they look and operate. Installation can be a challenge (especially the first one) depending whether you have other door holes to work around and door material. Installation instructions could have better guidance on how to adjust lock to prevent binding. Because my locks replaced previously installed ones and left other door holes, I ended up using remodeler plates (Don Jo brand) to cover them. I also found a step drill bit and Dremel tool w/cutoff bit to be helpful since I was installing on a metal door..

The lock is fine, but but my interior handle binds when turned. The instructions have limited guidance on how to adjust during installation. A couple of examples . . . #1 “Do not overtighten the pan head screws”. Well, define overtight. What is sufficient tightness? What is overtight? #2 “Install the interior lever and ensure it is on securely and operates without binding”. Mine binds, so some guidance on how to adjust / troubleshooting would be helpful.

We have bought these for all our satellite bathrooms throughout the city. In total we have 14 locks with different times of opening and closing. Its a learning curve to use the program and DTM but, once you got it all figured out its so nice to change the times with a simple press of a button.
